Mahindra launched its compact SUV, XUV300 on February 14, 2019 with prices starting from Rs 7.9 lakh (ex-showroom) for the range. The Maruti Vitara Brezza rival had already garnered 4,000 bookings even before its official launch last month and it is reported that the SUV has bagged over 13,000 bookings within a month after its launch.

- The SUV has received 2.5 lakh leads till date, which clearly reflects its popularity among customers.
- Over 75 per cent of the total bookings are for the fully-loaded top-spec variants.
Commenting on the booking milestone, Veejay Ram Nakra, Chief of Sales & Marketing, Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. said, “We are extremely happy with the overwhelming response to the XUV300. In a highly competitive segment such as the Compact SUV, we have received over 13,000 bookings and in the very first month itself, we have entered into the top 3. This is in-line with our objective of achieving 15 to 20% share of this segment and reaffirms the fact that the XUV300 proposition has resonated well with the customers. What is also encouraging is that over 75% of our bookings are for the top end variants of the XUV300.”
The all-new Mahindra XUV300 is built on the ‘Cheetah-inspired design and going by the pace of sales, it is expected to emerge as one of the strongest players in the segment. On the feature front, the model packs a bunch of first-in-class tech. It is one of the few Mahindra cars to get both petrol and diesel engine options. That said, Mahindra XUV300 is available in 1.2-litre, turbo-petrol unit and a powerful 1.5-litre oil burner which also powers Marazzo. Both the engines are available with a six-speed manual gearbox, whereas an AMT unit will be introduced at a later stage.
