Mahindra XUV500 petrol has been spied again on the Indian roads. Earlier this year, the variant was spotted in Dubai followed by the launch in Qatar, getting the price range of INR 9.9 lakh to INR 13.7 lakh. However, an official announcement regarding the launch in India is expected in the coming weeks.

According to the reports, the Mahindra XUV500 petrol car will be launched in India in a total of three variants, which includes W8 with front-wheel and all-wheel drive, and the top-end W10 variant with an all-wheel-drive. The top-end variant W10 will offer an automatic transmission system.

As per the information available, the Mahindra XUV500 will be powered by a 2.2-litre gasoline motor assisted with a turbocharger to enhance the performance. The engine would be capable of making a power of 138 bhp while the peak torque output will be around 320 Nm. All the variants are likely to be offered with a choice of automatic or manual gearboxes paired with a 6-speed transmission system. However, the W8 FWD will come with a manual gearbox only.

The new fuel trims will get an all-black interior that will give an appealing touch. The infotainment system offered inside the car will be mated to a 6-speaker system, similar to the diesel variant available in the Indian market. However, W10 will not feature an electric driving seat.

Mahindra XUV500 petrol will be equipped with some good features and latest technology like projector headlights with static bending headlamps, voice commands, iPod, video playback, Aux-in and Bluetooth connectivity. Apart from these, the car will also possess navigation, picture viewer, rain-sensing wipers, tyre pressure monitoring system, a glass embedded antenna, automatic headlamps and disc brakes on all the four wheels.

The SUV car will be offered in various colours like Pearl White, Sunset Orange, Volcano Black, Dolphin Grey, Tuscan Red, Moondust Silver and Opulent Purple. Expectations are the car will be priced close to INR 12 lakh for the base model.
