Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd have rolled out a limited edition model of the hugely popular XUV500 called ‘Sportz’ with prices starting at Rs 13.85 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi.) Only 1,000 units of the limited edition model will be sold in the country and is available with the top-end W8 (FWD) variant only. Compared to the W8, the Sportz Limited Edition demands a premium of Rs 26,000.
The Limited Edition XUV500 gets a host of styling features. It features ‘Sportz’ decals, new alloys with red inserts, rear-view camera, red inserts for the fog lights and door handles, red roof rails and a ‘Sportz’ badging at the rear.
Mechanically however, there are no changes made to the XUV500 Sportz. The SUV comes powered with the same 2.2-litre diesel engine that is able to produce 140PS of max power and 330Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a 6-Speed manual transmission driving the front wheels.
