Mahindra & Mahindra's flagship SUV XUV500 has set a new benchmark by selling more than 75, 000 units in little over two years since its launch. Not just the Indian market, the SUV is performing well in international markets as well like South Africa, Australia and several European nations. India’s first global SUV – XUV500 has been crowned with 22 prestigious awards and several recognitions from auto experts.

Talking about this remarkable success, Mahindra & Mahindra, Chief Executive of Automotive Division, Pravin Shah said, “We are overwhelmed by the enthusiastic response from customers to the XUV500 that has led to impressive sales of 75,000 plus vehicles in just over two years since its launch. This is a benchmark for sales among high-end SUVs, for which we are humbled. As a customer centric organization, we keep on evolving and the launch of the W4 variant bears testimony to the same”.

On an extension note, Mahindra & Mahindra has recently introduced the new base variant 'W4' of their best selling XUV500 at Rs. 10.95 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Deriving its power from the same 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine, the XUX500 W4 too delivers the same 140bhp and 330Nm of torque. This powertrain is boosted with 5th Generation VGT (Variable Geometry Turbocharger) and six speed transmission. Equipped with ‘a good number of safety and comfort features, the all new XUV500 W4 proves to be worthy deal for people wanting to buy the XUV500 at an affordable price.
