Mahindra XUV700 is one of the most awaited cars in the Indian market and by showcasing the Mahindra badged SsangYong Rexton at the 2018 Delhi Auto Expo, the homegrown auto manufacturer has upped the excitement further. Meanwhile, the Mahindra XUV700 has been spotted sans any camouflage in India while testing in sand dunes. This indictes a nearing launch of the much awaited Toyota Fortuner rival.
Upon launch, the Mahindra XUV700 will also compete with the Ford Endeavour. Speaking about the upcoming Mahindra SUV, it is basd on the same platform as the SsangYong Rexton G4. The SUV boasts a high seating and very muscular stance. It gets sharp headlamps with projector units and integrated LED daytime running lights. The large black front grille with shiny chrome trims adds style to the model.

The chunky bumpers with skid plate add zing to the SUV. It runs on large alloy wheels and the generous 215 mm of ground clearance makes the car enable to run on rough terrains. Moving to the back, there will be wraparound LED taillights and a sculpted tailgate. Inside the cabin, the Mahindra XUV700 will offer generous space and comfort to the occupants, while it will certainly come loaded with features. A large touchscreen infotainment system at the centre console will be there with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The Mahindra XUV700 will also come leaded with advanced safety features. Speaking about the powertrain, the Mahindra XUV700 will come with a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine under the hood. This engine will be mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox and there will be an automatic unit as well. The engine will churn out 178 bhp of peak power and 420 Nm of peak torque.
