Jaguar Land Rover India has commenced the local manufacturing of the F-PACE petrol variant at its Pune facility in the country. The bookings are now open for the made-in-India 'Prestige' petrol variant and it is priced at Rs 63.17 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, India). On the other hand, the 'Prestige' variant in diesel fuel trim, which is already locally developed, has a sticker price of Rs 63.57 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, India). Jaguar F-PACE challenges the likes of Mercedes-Benz GLE, Audi Q5 and Porsche Macan in the Indian market.
Rohit Suri, President & Managing Director, Jaguar Land Rover India Ltd (JLRIL), said:“In the two years since its launch in India, the Jaguar F-PACE has captivated the imagination of Jaguar fans and our discerning customers. With the launch of the locally manufactured Ingenium petrol derivative of the F-PACE, the appeal of our first Jaguar SUV is further enhanced.” The 2019 Jaguar F-PACE comes with a range of exciting features including Park Assist, Lane Keep Assist, Cabin air ionisation, Driver condition monitor, 360 degree parking sensors, Adaptive LED Headlights, Wi-Fi Hotspot & Pro Services and 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The British luxury marque firstly introduced the F-PACE SUV in the Indian market in October 2016.
Additional changes for 2019 F-PACE include illuminated metal treadplates, chrome switches for the 10-way seats, suede cloth headliner and bright metal pedals. The petrol variant draws power from a 2.0L 4-cylinder turbocharged Ingenium engine which generates maximum power output of 247bhp and peak torque performance of 369Nm. The engine is linked to an 8-speed automatic transmission with sequential shit and automatic stop/start. The SUV also comes equipped with Cruise control and Speed limiter, JaguarDrive Control, All Surface Progress Control (ASPC), Hill Launch Assist, Dynamic Stability Control and Traction Control as standard features.
