The Japanese auto-maker has yanked the cloth off 2016 CBR500R at the 2015 AIMExpo (American Motorcycle Show, California). We have to admit the new generation CBR500R looks alluring with its new fascia inspired from the iconic CBR600R and its litre-class sibling - the CBR100RR. Honda has tagged the new CBR500RR with ‘Aggressive Speed Shape’ design approach.
There has been few small updates in the 2016 CBR500R such as redesigned styling, a new muffler design for improved mass centralisation, lighter weight and an improved exhaust note. Apart from this, the Japanese automaker has now added an adjustable brake lever upfront to serve all kind of riders. Honda also claims that the new model is equipped with a larger capacity fuel tank. Apart from the cosmetics, there is no major change in the mechanicals and CBR500R still utilizes the same 471cc liquid-cooled parallel twin engine that delivers good 47bhp of maximum power
With these minor but attractive upgrades, CBR500R is certainly up for a larger set of audience. What do you think about the new CBR500R? Share your views with us in the comment section below.
