Mansory, the German performance tuner is known to put life into cars by doing the engine mod-job and reworking on the looks. In the past, we have reported about the Rolls Royce Ghost as done by Mansory a couple of times. And now Mansory has come up with a performance package for the Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG Coupe, a package that boosts the AMG power to 900PS.
While Mansory has given some outrageous design changes to the high-end cars, the customization done on the S63 AMG is rather subtle. The new body kit is made from carbon fibre and gives a feel that Mansory has played safe this time as the car looks appealing. Adding to the looks of the car is the fresh set of alloy wheels and a revised interior cabin.
But, where Mansory has put in a lot of effort is the engine, which is heavily tuned. Mansory decided to not to replace the 5.5-litre twin-turbo V8 engine but to upgrade it. The output has been increased from the earlier 585PS and 900 Nm to 900PS at 5700 rpm and 1300 Nm between 1600 rpm and 5700 rpm. Not to mention that the torque has been electronically controlled and capped.
And how does this massive power surge replicate itself into the performance? Well, the tuned Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG Coupe can do a sprint of 0-100 kmph in just 3.3 seconds, a good 0.6 seconds quicker than the standard version. The top speed of the AMG is electronically-limited 300 kmph, while the stock version touches 250 kmph due to government rules.
This is the extreme package we detailed about. Mansory also provides a lesser package that bumps the output to 720PS and 1100 Nm. Mansory has put in custom crankshaft, turbochargers, compressor system and many other custom parts to increase the output of the S63 AMG!
