The Scuderia Ferrari is very delighted to publicize that Marussia, a Formula 1 team is now part of Ferrari’s cluster of F1 clients. The companies made a pact to last for a lifetime, to supply engines for the Marussia team in 2014. The Marussia F1 is the third Team that Ferrari will be supplying engines to. The other two teams are Sauber and Toro Rosso. At present the Marussia team is powered by Cosworth engines . Many teams this year are changing their engine suppliers, few of them are, McLaren is going to be fixed with Honda engines. The Force India team has a treaty with McLaren to barter technical information and sources state that Force India will also travel away with McLaren.
The Cosworth and Marussia were in a relationship since the year 2010, but parted because of the new regulations by F1 to stop using V6 and opt for V8s, the Cosworth will no longer be producing racing engines for any teams, since they have stopped the F1 engine production completely. The Marussia team’s CEO Andy Webb quoted that, ‘the significance of this improvement cannot be loud. Not only will we benefit from a patron giver from the most flourishing locomotive manufacturers in the history of F1, but this also provides additional verification, if it were needed, of our promise to the game and willpower to uphold our succession towards our long-standing objectives’.
This moving out, means that the only team left to use the Mercedes engines, are their own team the Mercedes AMG. With these stipulations being set for the next year, no one has any idea on which engine will prevail on top. All the companies have started R&Ding their engines and the results can only be witnessed next year in the championship tournament.
