2015 Maruti Alto K10 with AMT gearbox is spied for the first time in the country, albeit entirely uncamouflaged. Maruti, country's leading automaker, is eyeing an early next year launch date for the facelift version of this small car. The Alto K10 facelift boasts several cosmetic changes both inside and outside. The folks at Gaadi Waadi were able to click these spy images.
On having a closer look at the spied pictures, the new Alto K10 reminds of the Alto 800. It features an all new front grille, which can be seen in the Swift DZire. There are bigger sweptback headlamps gracing this hatch. The bumpers at the front and rear section too are tweaked. However, wheel arches remain the same and 13-inch wheels are fitted to them. It is expected to be offered in three trims - LXi, LXi+ and VXi. Although, detailed features are not known but the base variant is likely to come with air conditioning with heater and power steering as standard features. The mid-level variant wouldn't be much feature-rich as it would only feature wheel caps, in addition to all the base variants features.
The top-end trim would be coming with body-colored outside rear view mirrors and door handles, power windows, rear parcel tray, door protection moulding and central locking, plus all the mid-level trim features. Mechanically, it would be retaining the same 998cc, 3-cylinder petrol engine which would return 68 PS of top power and 90Nm of peak torque. It would be paired with a 5-speed manual transmission to achieve the best-in-class fuel efficiency of 20.92kmpl. However, an optional variant with AMT unit and CNG fuel kit would also be on offer. It is expected to be launched in the first quarter of 2015 and would compete against the likes of Hyundai Eon and Datsun GO in Indian markets.
