Maruti Suzuki has launched the Alto K10 Plus at a sticker price of Rs. 3.40 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, New Delhi) in the country. Being based on the VXi grade, Maruti Alto K10 Plus is a special edition which comes with ten additional features. Mechanically, it doesn't offer anything and continues to be powered by the same petrol powerplant as the standard models. Maruti Alto is available in Lx, Lx (O), Lxi, Lxi (O), Vxi and Vxi (O) variants, with prices starting at Rs. 3.27 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, New Delhi).
Speaking of the Alto K10 Plus, it gets a plethora of additional exterior equipments in form of rear spoiler, chrome beltline, door moulding, fog lamps, chrome accented wheel arches, body coloured door handles and body coloured ORVMs. The special edition hatch also boasts of reverse parking sensors. The interior features include central locking system, front power windows and piano-finished audio system as standard. Dimensionally, the Alto K10 Plus measures 3,545mm in length, 1,515mm in width, 1,475mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,360mm. Just so you know, Maruti Alto K10 is also available with factory-fitted CNG kit at a sticker price of Rs. 4.06 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, Delhi).
Under the bonnet, the Alto K10 Plus has the 1.0L 3-cylinder K10B petrol engine with maximum power output of 67bhp at 6000rpm and peak torque performance of 90Nm at 3500rpm. The engine is linked to a 5-speed manual transmission as standard, while it can also be availed with an AMT gearbox. Though, Maruti calls the AMT as AGS (Auto Gear Shift). The Alto K10 delivers a sensational mileage of 24.07kmpl (ARAI Specified) in both the manual as well as automatic trim. It challenges the likes of Renault Kwid, Datsun rediGO and Hyundai Eon in the Indian market.
