Maruti Suzuki India, India's largest car maker, has officially unveiled the Maruti Celerio. The company has also started accepting the bookings of the vehicle.
The company will be launching the Celerio hatchback at the upcoming Auto Expo 2014, Noida. The Celerio will be a replacement of current gen Alto in most international markets, however in India, it would replace the AStar and the discontinued Estilo. The Celerio will be a complete replacement of the current gen Alto.
The Celerio will be powered by a 1.0 liter, K10 petrol engine which also powers the current Alto K10, the WagonR, the AStar and the discontinued Estilo. It produces a maximum power of 69 bhp and will deliver an ARAI certified fuel economy of 23.1 kmpl.
Not only this, the Celerio also comes with many new and exciting features like steering-mounted audio controls, manual AC controls, 235-liter boot space, five-speed manual transmission option, fixed headrests for the front seats, map pocket on the co-driver seat back, dual tone interior and rear view mirrors on doors.
