Rumors about the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Celerio hatchback have been doing rounds. Recently, the apparent official brochure for it has been leaked. According to the brochure, the Celerio will be available in four variants. The trims which are mentioned on it are LXi, VXi, ZXi and ZXi (Optional). The Celerio will come to India in both manual and automatic transmission options. The automatic is expected to be available in LXi and VXi variants.
The LXi being the base variant will come with basic features like power steering, air-conditioner, body-colored bumpers, central console and instrument panel with low fuel warning lamp, door ajar warning light and fuel consumption. In terms of safety, the new Celerio will come equipped with child-proof rear door locks and front disc brakes.
The Celerio VXi will have all the features as that of the LXi trim, but will have additional features like a front chrome grille, full wheel covers, vanity mirror for the co-driver, day and night interior rear view mirror, rear luggage shelf and rear seats with 60:40 split. Central locking and power windows will be featured on all the four doors.
The ZXi will come with body colored door handles, outer rear view mirrors with turn indicators, four-speaker audio system with CD, USB, aux-in and Bluetooth compatibility. The interiors will have door trim fabric on the front doors, keyless entry, steering-mounted audio controls, tilt steering, driver's seat belt warning lamp, driver airbags, rear wash wiper and a rear heated windows for defogging.
The Celerio ZXi (Optional) is the top variant which will come with all the features offered with the ZXi trim, and additionally it will have front fog lamps, alloy wheels, height adjustable driver's seat, anti-lock braking system and a security system with shock sensors.
The company has started accepting the bookings and test drive of the Celerio, which will be launched at the upcoming Auto Expo 2014.
