Maruti Suzuki has launched a limited edition of the Celerio hatchback. The limited edition of celerio car costs Rs. 16,280 more and is available only for Vxi and Zxi trims.
The major update in the Maruti Suzuki Celerio Limited Edition is the additional package that includes designing elements for exterior and interior. For exterior, it gets chrome garnish on the fog lamps, Outside Rear View Mirrors (ORVMs), tailgate, headlamps, tail lamps and door windows. In addition, the package also includes graphics and mouldings on the sides and door visors.
The limited edition also comes with some addition to the interiors. It gets a new steering cover along with matching upholstery, ambient lighting, two-tone seat covers and a cylindrical tissue box.
Mechanically, the car remains the same. It is powered by the same 1.0-litre K10B 3-cylinder petrol engine that can produce a maximum power of 67 hp and peak torque of 90 Nm. Transmission options available are a 5-speed manual and an AGS (Auto Gear Shift) gearbox. CNG option is also available for the limited edition. While the petrol engine delivers a mileage of 20.36 kmpl, the CNG unit delivers 31.79 kmpl.
Maruti Suzuki Celerio, which created a lot of hype during its launch in 2014 for being the first hatchback equipped with Automated Manual Transmission (AMT), has done good in terms of sale since its launch. However, the addition of limited edition will help Maruti to retain the sales numbers in this festive season amidst growing competition.
The Maruti Celerio Limited Edition comes with a price tag of Rs. 4.87 lakh for the Vxi trim and Rs. 5.19 lakh for the Zxi.
