Maruti Suzuki is offering huge discounts and benefits on the diesel version of Ciaz sedan in the country. It is a well-known fact that the company will not sell diesel variants of its cars but have an all petrol lineup from April 2020.
Hence, the country's biggest automaker is offering discounts worth up to Rs 1.50 Lakhs on the 1.3L and 1.5L diesel variants of Ciaz. The BS 4 petrol variants also attract benefits of up to Rs 80,000.
Maruti Suzuki is adopting a 'wait and watch' policy for the introduction of BS 6 certified diesel engine and hence, it wouldn't be a surprise if it finally presents a BS 6 compliant diesel engine by 2021. Both the Fiat-sourced 1.3L and the in-house developed 1.5L motors are going to take a bit of rest from April 1, 2020, when the BS 6 emission norms come into effect.
Hence, in order to clear the existing inventory, Nexa (Maruti's premium chain of the dealership) is offering benefits of Rs 1.50 Lakhs on the 1.3L diesel Ciaz which includes cash discount, corporate discount, exchange benefits and 5-year extended warranty worth Rs 15,000.
On the other hand, the more powerful and bigger 1.5L diesel variants of Ciaz are available with offers worth Rs 1.25 Lakhs which include cash discount, corporate and exchange bonus along with a 5-year extended warranty. As for the BS 4 petrol variants, they can be availed with benefits of up to Rs 80,000 which includes cash discount, exchange, and corporate bonuses.
The company will retail the Ciaz with a BS 6 compliant 1.5L mild-hybrid petrol engine which will generate maximum power output of 105bhp and peak torque performance of 138Nm. It will be offered with a 5-speed manual transmission as standard while a 4-speed automatic will be on offer as optional.
