Maruti Suzuki India Limited has silently launched two new variants - Vxi (O) and Vdi (O) - the Ciaz mid-sized sedan in the country. The new variants, while offering all the features and attributes of the base variants Ciaz Vxi and Vdi, come with additional safety features including dual airbags, ABS, seat belt pre-tensioner & force limiters and seat belt reminder with buzzer (driver side). For those asking, the new “O” trim will be available also on the Ciaz SHVS, the smart hybrid diesel car launched last week.
Mr. R S Kalsi, Executive Director, Marketing & Sales, Maruti Suzuki India, said, “By offering the option of more safety equipment on our base variants, we want to encourage customers to buy cars that enhance their safety. Besides all the features and attributes of Ciaz Vxi and Vdi, the “O” variants will be equipped with dual airbags, ABS and other safety features.” In addition, the Company has decided to offer driver airbags as standard in all variants of Ciaz, including Vxi and Vdi. Further, the Ciaz V+ variants (both SHVS and petrol) will now be equipped with co-driver airbags, seat belt pre-tensioner & force limiters and seat belt reminder with buzzer (driver side).
Being built on Suzuki’s TECT (Total Effective Control Technology), Maruti Ciaz comes with crumple zones that absorb the energy generated during an impact, while the frame disperses it away from the passenger cabin. Extensive use of High Tensile Steel makes the body stronger, safer and yet lighter. Just so you know, Maruti's next big offering in India would be the all-new Baleno premium hatchback, which would launch on October 26, 2015. Also, Ertiga facelift is also due for launch in the coming days as it has already been unveiled last month. Below is the variant-wise pricing (Ex-showroom, Delhi) of Maruti Ciaz:
Maruti Ciaz Vxi (O) - Rs. 7.48 Lakhs
Maruti Ciaz VDi (O) - Rs. 8.37 Lakhs
