Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL), with all guns blazing, has released the official brochure of its upcoming highly anticipated Ciaz sedan on its website. The advance bookings for the sedan has already commenced at a token payment of Rs. 21,000. The official brochure provides concrete information about the various aspects of the sedan, i.e. exteriors, interiors, features and engines.

As for the exterior, the Ciaz would flaunt projector headlamps along with an elegant front grille with chrome accents. The sedan's design is quite aerodynamic, with several curves. It would feature three kind of wheels - 16-inch Alloys, 15-inch Alloys, and 15-inch steel wheels with full wheel caps; as per the information mentioned in the official brochure. It is expected that the top-end trims - ZXi/ZDi and ZXi+/ZDi+ would feature alloys while the base trims VXi/VDi and VXi+/VDi+ would come loaded with aforementioned steel wheels. The sedan would be offered in seven chic colors - Pearl Snow White, Pearl Metallic Dignity Brown, Pearl Sangria Red, Metallic Silky Silver, Metallic Glistening Grey, Pearl Midnight Black, and Metallic Clear Beige.

Maruti Ciaz is the longest and widest sedan in its segment and offers best-in-class inner cabin space due to the extended wheelbase. There is no scarcity of legroom, shoulder room and head room inside the cabin, for the rear seat occupants as well. It comes loaded with several premium features such as Rear AC Vents, exclusive 12V Charging Point, Rear Sunshade and Personal Reading Lamps which further raise the overall ambiance; of the cabin. Additionally, for the sake of extra convenience of occupants, Maruti has incorporated stuff like Front Centre Armrest with Utility Box, Rear Centre Armrest with Cupholders, Camera Assited Reverse Parking, Keyless Push Start System and Smart Key. Also, the company hasn't missed out on any aspect, as in order to entice music lovers, it has installed a SmartPlay Infotainment system with facilities such as Smartphone Linkage, Multi-touch Display, Complete Media Connectivity, Navigation, Voice-recognition and Playback. There is also one app - Hi-tech MirrorLink Car-mode, which facilitates an individual to copy your smartphone's screen onto the SmartPlay screen.

Mechanically, the Ciaz would be housing a 1.4L K14B Petrol Engine and 1.3L Multi-jet DDiS200 diesel engine and these engines return best-in-class fuel economies in both these guises. The diesel and petrol mileages of Ciaz would be 26.73kmpl and 20.73kmpl, respectively. The petrol engine would churn out a maximum power of 91bhp and 130Nm of peak torque while the diesel one is supposed to deliver a top power of 89bhp with a top torque of 200Nm. The engine would come mated to a 5-speed manual transmission, while there might be an CVT variant on offer too in the petrol fuel trim. As for safety features, the sedan would come loaded with ABS, EBD and Dual front Airbags.
