Honda City has bounced back in November sales and with a vengeance! After being outsold by the Maruti Ciaz in October 2014 sales, the City has made a sensational comeback by outnumbering the Ciaz sedan in November 2014 sales. Honda sold around 7,252 units of City sedan in November, while Maruti managed to sell only 5,232 units of its Ciaz mid-sized sedan.
Similar to October 2014, the top slot witnessed no changes in November as Maruti Alto retained the numero-uno spot, albeit with better numbers. Maruti's Swift hatchback replaced its sedan sibling for the second position in November 2014. Maruti's dominance in Indian auto industry is further reflected by Wagon R and Swift, which grabbed the third and fourth spot, respectively. Hyundai's premium hatchback Elite i20, once again proving its mettle, managed to hold on its fifth spot by selling a massive 10,552 units. Another Hyundai hatch, Grand i10 stick to its sixth spot in November 2014 sales, quite similar to October. Honda City seized the seventh position from Eon hatch as it slipped one down to eighth position.
Maruti Ciaz, however, managed to remain in the top 10 cars sold in November 2014 sales as it hung on the ninth spot. The tenth place in the list saw once again a Maruti product in form of Celerio hatchback with 4,926 units of the small car being sold in the month of November 2014. The company had sold 5,723 units of this model in the October 2014.
