Maruti Suzuki has launched the Ciaz RS - a sportier new variant of the mid-sized sedan - at a sticker price of Rs. 9.20 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, Delhi) in the country. Maruti Ciaz RS is based on the range-topping Z+ trim, and would be available in diesel guise as well at an introductory price of Rs. 10.28 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, Delhi). Just so you know, the Ciaz sedan is India's most fuel efficient car with a mileage of 28.09kmpl.

Talking about Maruti Ciaz RS, it comes with new sporty black interiors and a grey chrome finish instrument panel. At the outside, the sedan comes with a spoiler pack, which comprises of front under spoiler, side under spoiler, trunk lid spoiler and rear underbody spoiler. The new variant RS, as said before as well, comes loaded with all the features of Z+ trim. Maruti Ciaz is the first sedan in its segment to offer SmartPlay Infotainment system and smart hybrid (SHVS) diesel technology. For those asking, over 56,000 units of Maruti Ciaz have been sold since launch in October 2014. Mechanically, the Ciaz RS doesn't see any changes and continues to carry the same set of petrol and diesel engines.

It has enabled us to strengthen our position in the mid-size premium sedan segment. Further, the introduction of smart hybrid diesel, and safety features such as dual airbags and ABS in base variants, has enhanced the reputation of Ciaz. For customers who love Ciaz and want something even more distinctive and stylish, Ciaz RS is irresistible”. Maruti Ciaz challenges the likes of Honda City, Hyundai Verna 4S, Volkswagen Vento and Skoda Rapid.
