Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has launched the top-of-the-end Z+ grade in the Ciaz mid-sized sedan line-up. The newly-introduced Z+ trim replaces the Z(O) trim, which was on offer since the car's launch in October, 2014. Maruti Ciaz price for the petrol variant ZXi+ is Rs. 9.08 Lakhs, while the diesel variant ZDi+ costs Rs. 10.37 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, Delhi).

Maruti Ciaz Z+ comes loaded with an exquisite 7-inch SmartPlay infotainment system with four primary functions - Audio, Bluetooth, Navigation and Smartphone. It also has a voice command feature. The 7-inch touch-screen also acts as the display system for the rear parking camera. Even, one can stream a few apps from the connected Android smartphone. Apart from this infotainment system, the Ciaz Z+ features 16-inch alloy wheels and leather wrapped steering and seats. For your information, all the features offered with Z+ trim were not available earlier with any variant of Ciaz. Now with the 7-inch touch-screen SmartPlay system in the Z+ trim, Ciaz has left behind Honda City which has a 5-inch infotainment system.

Mechanically, the Ciaz Z+ trim is same altogether and there is not any change. The petrol variant is powered by a 1.4L motor, which churns out a maximum power of 98 bhp and peak torque of 130Nm. Maruti Ciaz Z+ diesel variant gets a Fiat-sourced 1.3L MJD engine, which is good enough for a top power of 88.5 bhp and highest torque of 200Nm. Ciaz has best-in-segment interior space (wheelbase) with 2650mm, while owning a decent ground clearance of 170mm as well.
