The upcoming midsize sedan - Maruti Suzuki Ciaz has been seen many times by car-buffs in full camouflage, however, for the first time, the ZDi+ variant of the car has been spotted. This sedan will replace SX4, whose production has already been stopped. Ciaz has been lined-up for launch either by September end, or the first half of October '14.
As seen in the picture above, the ZDi+ variant is going to sport 16-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels, chrome door handles, ABS, parking sensors, side mirror indicators and projector headlamps. This is supposedly be the top-end variant of Ciaz, Besides, speculations also indicate that this variant is going to sport leather seats, however, nothing is concrete on this yet. Moreover, it is supposedly going to derive power from a 1.4L K-Series petrol powertrain, whereas, the diesel version is going to house a 1.3L Multijet engine with manual transmission. To add, the power output of both these machines will echo that of the Ertiga probably.
The obvious competition of Ciaz is going to be with the likes of Honda City, Skoda Rapid, Hyundai Verna, Volkswagen Vento, Linea from Fiat, and Nissan's Sunny. The car might fall in the price bracket of Rs. 7.5 to 11lakhs( ex-showroom).
