There is a large percentage of car buying population in India that just won't consider anything that does not come with a Maruti Suzuki badge. Well, now seems to be the best time for these people to buy a car of their favourite brand as the company is giving discounts across almost all its models.

On offer is a Rs. 50,000  discount on the Swift diesel, while the Swift Dzire (diesel again) will be yours with the benefits totalling up to Rs. 43,000. But the pick of the lot has to be the CNG variant of the Wagon R - a Rs. 72,100 discount should make owners of the old Alto contemplate upgrading to this bigger hatchback. The bling Wagon R aka the Stingray gets a discount of Rs. 63,000.

The SX4 is being offered with a discount of Rs. 91,500 while the Ertiga can be yours for Rs. 41,500 less now. Discounts are being offered on the remaining stocks of the A-Star and Zen Estilo; though the company is offering Rs. 66,500 off on the former and Rs. 61,500 off on the latter, you can certainly get more on these two models if you haggle a little with the dealers. The Ritz is getting benefits worth Rs. 36,500 while the Omni and EECO both are being offered with benefits of Rs.11,500 each.

Four-wheeler sales in India have seen a decline in the past one year and the recent effort by the government in reducing excise duties too has not helped matters. Therefore, most car companies have resorted to offer different discount schemes to get people into their showrooms. Ironically, manufacturers like Honda and Mahindra and Mahindra have increased prices across selected models.

The Indian automobile sector saw a fall of seven percent in sales as compared to figures from March 2013, while sales have fallen by five percent on a fiscal basis. In such a scenario, Maruti Suzuki is trying its level best to keep the ball rolling.
