Country’s largest car manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki India Limited announced that its Eeco has crossed the 5 lakh sales milestone, where this vehicle was designed for the family transportation and it is also used as a business vehicle. Since its launch in 2010, Maruti Suzuki’s Eeco has built a strong trust and loyalty of its buyers in the country. The car is offered in both petrol and CNG guise, where the CNG one account for over 17 per cent of the total sales.
Speaking on this, Mr R S Kalsi, Senior Executive Director (Marketing and Sales) at Maruti Suzuki India, said, “Eeco is designed to meet varied functional needs – be it personal such as an outing with family or for business. Eeco has been a partner in progress for young entrepreneurs in the country. Maruti Suzuki has consistently introduced upgrades in Eeco to stay relevant and adapt to changing needs of the customers. Maruti Suzuki engineers designed the Eeco to meet the functional as well as the practical needs of its customers. The sliding doors provide an easy entrance and exit for the passengers even if the car is stuck in overfull traffic conditions. The car gets a spacious interior to easily seat 4 passengers and a driver or 5 passengers and a driver, one can choose which suits best. It offers ample amount of legroom and headroom for the occupants for a comfortable ride.
Mechanically, Maruti Suzuki Eeco is offered in both Petrol and CNG version. The petrol variant of the Eeco comes packed with a 1.2-litre engine that produces 72bhp of maximum power with 101Nm of top torque. The CNG variant delivers an impressive fuel economy of 21.8 km per kg, whereas the petrol variant returns a fuel efficiency is 16.2 kmpl.
