Maruti Suzuki has showcased a limited edition of the Ertiga MPV at the 2016 Auto Expo. Quite identical to the Swift limited edition, it too gets several cosmetic add-ons, while mechanically remaining the same as standard model. Pricing and launch details are not available at the moment, but it is expected to come soon in the showrooms.
Talking about the exterior updates, Maruti Ertiga limited edition comes with body-colored bumper extensions, door guards, side sill extensions, rear spoiler and gun metal alloys. The interior cabin is finished in an all-black theme with red/black dual-tone leather seat covers and seat piping. There is a mini refrigerator and a rear seat entertainment system on offer as well. As for the other features, the limited edition Ertiga MPV boasts of a SmartPlay entertainment system with navigation, power folding wing mirrors, smart entry with an engine starter button, 50:50 split for the last row, reverse parking camera, and driver airbag.
Mechanically, Maruti Ertiga limited edition gets the same 1.4L, 4-cylinder K-Series petrol engine which develops a maximum power of 91bhp at 5000rpm and peak torque of 130Nm at 4000rpm. On the other hand, the diesel variants are powered by the 1.3L, 4-cylinder DDiS engine which also comes with Maruti's SHVS technology. Due to SHVS technology, the fuel efficiency of diesel variants have increased by 18 percent as compared to their predecessors. Maruti Ertiga diesel also comes loaded with Start/Stop system, torque assist, gear shift indicator and brake energy recuperation as part of SHVS technology.
