Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has launched Ertiga Paseo Explore edition - a limited edition of its MPV - in the country. It is being learnt that this Paseo Explore edition would be based on the mid-level V trim, while hosting an array of additional features. In case you want to know, Maruti Ertiga facelift would debut at the GIIAS (Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show) on August 20, while India launch will take place in September.
Talking about the Maruti Ertiga Paseo Explore edition, it would come with a few additional at the outside in form of side body decals, blackened-out rear pillars and a rear spoiler. Inside the cabin, it gets cool/warm box, seat covers, Bluetooth, a multi-device charger, steering wheel cover, storage compartment, pillows, door sill guards and designer mats. Furthermore, the Ertiga Paseo Explore Edition boasts a digital tyre inflator and reverse parking sensors. Just so you know, Maruti had also introduced a special edition of Ertiga in July 2014 to mark the sales of 150,000 units. And, now the Paseo Explore edition commemorates the 200,000 sales figures of Ertiga and it might be a move by the company to clear the pending stock as the facelift version is about to arrive in a couple of months.
Mechanically, the Ertiga Paseo Explore edition is unchanged as it carries on the with the same set of petrol and diesel engines. The facelifted version of the MPV would witness cosmetic changes at the outside, while there would be a couple of premium features on offer inside the cabin. The company might just also tweak the engines of new MPV to obtain a higher fuel efficiency as it did with all the facelift versions - be it Swift, be it Swift DZire or be it Alto K10. There are speculations that Maruti facelift could also come with an AMT unit.
