Maruti Suzuki has officially unveiled the S-Cross facelift, which would go on sale on October 28, 2017 in the Indian market. The company today also opened bookings for the all-new S-Cross at a token amount of Rs. 11,000 at its network of NEXA showrooms across the country. Maruti S-Cross facelift would be available only in diesel fuel trim in four grades: Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha. The facelifted SUV would boast of several cosemtic updates, while mechanically it would become the third model in the Maruti Suzuki portfolio to host the DDiS 200 with Smart Hybrid technology.
The front fascia would flaunt sleek LED projector headlamps with daylight running lamps (DRLs). The S-Cross facelift would have a chrome grille along with the emphatic S insignia. It would ride on contrasting two-tone machine finished 16-inch alloy wheels while the rear end boasts of rear combination lamps (RCL) with LEDs. The interior cabin would get a satin chrome accent finish, a soft touch dashboard, piano black coloured central panel, leather finished arm-rest and well-coordinated seat fabric designs. The touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay would be available in high-end variants. The 2017 S-Cross would be offered in five colors: NEXA Blue (New), Pearl Arctic White, Caffeine Brown, Premium Silver and Granite Grey.
Being tested at the company’s world-class Rohtak R&D facility, the all-new S-Cross is among the six models already compliant with advanced upcoming new safety norms - frontal offset crash, side impact and pedestrian safety. It comes with rear seat ISO-FIX child seat safety mount. These features are standard across all variants of S-Cross. Under the hood, the S-Cross facelift would have the DDiS 200 diesel motor with Smart Hybrid technology. It would come packed with a host of features like idle-stop-start, torque assist, brake energy regeneration system and a gearshift indicator. For those asking, Maruti S-Cross was the first premium offering to debut from the Company’s all new premium retail channel-NEXA. The company has sold over 53,000 units of the SUV in the domestic market and exported over 4,600 units.
