  • Maruti S-Presso will launch on September 30.
  • Maruti S-Presso will ride on 14-inch wheels.
  • Maruti Suzuki S-Presso will come with a BS-VI engine.

Maruti S-Presso is all set to debut in the Indian market on September 30, 2019. Being touted as the successor to India's most loved and successful car, the Alto, it is based on the Future S Concept. However, ahead of the official launch, the dimensions of the micro-SUV are out in public domain, courtesy our friends at Autocar India. Maruti Suzuki S-Presso has been provided a SUVish stylish despite being an entry-level model, while it will directly take on the Renault Kwid.

Speaking of the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso dimensions, it will have a length of 3565mm which is precisely 20mm longer than the Alto. However, it is 114mm less than the length of Renault Kwid. The reduced length also results in relatively smaller cabin space as the wheelbase stands at 2380mm as compared to Kwid's 2422mm. As for the width, it measures 1520mm which is nearly 59mm lesser than the Kwid's 1579mm. However, Maruti S-Presso earns brownie points over the Renault Kwid in height section as it measures 1564mm, which is a whopping 86mm more than the Kwid. The SUVish styling and stance have helped the hatch to be taller which will result in a great headroom for the occupants. The ground clearance of the hatch stands at 180mm which is at par with the Kwid.

It will be powered by a BS-VI compliant 1.0L 3-cylinder K10B petrol engine which is likely to deliver top power of 68bhp and peak torque of 90Nm. The engine will be linked to a 5-speed manual transmission as standard while AMT gearbox will be offered as optional. Being offered in four trim levels, Maruti S-Presso will be priced in a range of Rs 3.50-4.70 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom).
