Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 Maximum Limited Edition launched

Expanding the long list of special and limited edition models coming out of Maruti Suzuki, is the new Alto 800 Maximum Limited Edition that is celebrating the 25 lakh sales milestone of the small car in India. The Limited Edition Alto 800 brings with it, benefits and features worth Rs 66,666 and will be offered on sale only until the 31st of August 2014.

The list of exterior updates includes, body decals and roof mounted rear spoiler, while the interior updates comprises of leather seat covers, a Mulity music system with sparker and central locking with remote keyless entry. 

In the Indian market, the Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 comes powered by an 800cc three-cylinder petrol engine that is able to produce 48PS of max power and 69Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mates to a 5-Speed manual transmission. The said engine can also be had with a factory-fitted CNG kit. 

The Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 has been one of the highest selling cars in India for many years now. However, the small car recently lost the title to its sibling, the Swift DZire in the month of May 2014. Nevertheless, the Alto 800 reclaimed its top spot in the month of June 2014. 

The Indian automaker is reportedly, also preparing a facelift version of its popular hatchback that is slated to debut in the Indian market in the first half of 2015.
