Maruti Suzuki Baleno has hit a new milestone by achieving a sales figure of 2 lakh units since its launch. The hatchback was launched in October 2015, and it took the car around 1 year 8 months to achieve this benchmark. In addition, Maruti has also exported around 33,800 of the vehicle.
Maruti Suzuki Baleno is a feature-loaded premium hatchback with price starting at Rs. 5.15 Lakhs (Ex-showroom, New Delhi). During its launch in 2015, buyers had to wait for 3 to 6 months. Even in the current scenario, selected variants of Baleno require a small time period. The Baleno comes with both manual and automatic transmission options.
India is the only production hub of Suzuki Baleno, from where the car gets exported to different parts of the world like France, Australia, U.K, Japan, Germany, Hungary Greece, Ice Land, Italy, Israel, Japan
UAE, UK, Netherlands, Poland, New Zealand, Oman, Spain and Taiwan.
The petrol engine of the Baleno produces a maximum power of 62 KW i.e 83.11 hp, while the diesel engine churns up a maximum power of 33.2kW or 73.99hp. Both the petrol and the diesel variants get a 5-speed manual transmission setup, while the petrol variant comes with a CVT option. In India, the petrol variant has contributed 75% of the total sales.
Maruti Suzuki Baleno is expected to get a facelift in 2019.
