Maruti Suzuki’s premium hatchback, Baleno recently crossed one lakh unit cumulative sale in the country. Maruti Suzuki Baleno was launched in October 2015 and one of the top selling product from the house of home grown car manufacturer. The Baleno is manufactured in India and is also exported across the world, where 33,800 Baleno cars have been exported including European and Japanese market.
Speaking on this occasion of Baleno achieving one lakh domestic sales, Maruti Suzuki’s Executive Director Marketing & Sales, Mr. R S Kalsi, said, “Baleno is one of the big success stories of the Indian auto industry. Baleno carries our new design philosophy and is equipped with several high-end features and technologies like Apple CarPlay that have attracted young customers. Our engineers have ensured that built on an innovative new platform, Baleno offers superior ride and handling, besides best-in-class fuel efficiency. Safety features like dual airbags and ABS with EBD are standard in Baleno – another first for this segment. It is truly a symbol of Make-in-India.”
Maruti Baleno has gained popularity with its exterior styling, spacious interior, top in its segment features, comfortable ride and handling, good fuel efficiency and also loaded safety package. The car is sold through Maruti Suzuki’s premium dealership channel and also helped the new retail experience to get popularity.
This is the first model to be exported from India to Japan and apart from this, it is also exported to Australia, Europe, New Zealand and Latin America. Moreover, the company is planning to export the car to 100 international markets. Maruti plans to introduce a performance enhanced version of the Baleno, named as Baleno RS soon in the country.
