Maruti Suzuki is pacing up yet again and it seems that the homegrown automajor will most likely bring updated products every year along with fresh products as well. The Ignis compact crossover is expected to be launched as its first product in 2017 with a bang. And now, according to media reports, the company will be launching the facelift version of the Ciaz sedan in the country in April 2017.
Reportedly, it is also being said that Maruti Suzuki is thinking over to sell the Ciaz facelift through its premium dealership channel, the Nexa. The face-lifted version will most like get some cosmetic tweaks along with some added features.
Speaking of the exterior updates, the new Maruti Suzuki Ciaz will likely to come with a new front grille, reworked bumper along with an addition of LED DRLs, new set of alloy wheels and the top end is expected to come with an electronic sunroof. Inside, the model gets few added features that include a new infotainment system with Apple CarPlay connectivity.
Under the hood, the existing model of the Ciaz is offered in both petrol and diesel options, where the petrol variant is a 1.4-litre unit that produces 91 bhp of power with 130 Nm of peak torque and the diesel mill is a 1.3-litre engine that is good for 89 BHP and 200 Nm of torque. Both the powertrain comes coupled to a 5-speed manual gearbox, while a 4-speed automatic is offered with the petrol variant.
There is no official confirmation has been made, but it is expected that Maruti could offer the SHVS system in the petrol variants as well. Moreover, the company could also introduce its 1.6-litre diesel engine also seen in the S-Cross.
