Maruti Suzuki completely understands the demand for vehicle among the people. They know about the future of mobility and may that’s the reason they decided to stop the production of diesel and ficus more on petrol and smart hybrid engines. Though the electric vehicles are also the future and hence, they are coming up with Ertiga Electric.
Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is one of the best selling MPVs in India and it has overshadowed Innova as well during its initial days of launch. The manufacturer launched a completely new model of the same last year and that became an instant hit again. Now with the EVs evolving in the country, Maruti Suzuki has started working upon an electric version of the MPV. As per the MOU signed by Maruti and Toyota, they will be sharing their products with each other that includes cars from Maruti Suzuki (Baleno, Vitara Brezza, and Ertiga). Though it’s not clear yet if Toyota is also participating in manufacturing Electric version of Ertiga.
Maruti Suzuki has been constantly testing their WagonR EV on Indian roads. Their plan is to introduce WagonR before Ertiga and the latter will be on display at Auto Expo 2020. There is no update on the technical specifications of the Ertiga EV as the vehicle is still under phase. Stay tuned for update information on Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Price and specification.
