Maruti Suzuki has launched the diesel variant of the Ertiga’s commercial vehicle variant, called the Ertiga Tour M. The Ertiga Tour M diesel is priced at Rs 9.82 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.

Maruti Ertiga and XL6 witnessed sales of 10000+ units in September 2019!

The Ertiga Tour M diesel is based on the Ertiga’s V spec variant. This is the mid-spec variant in the Ertiga lineup, and has features like projector headlamps, steel wheels with wheel caps, AC, remote locking, power windows at the front and the rear, electrically adjustable mirrors that also fold electrically, a 2-DIN audio system with aux, USB and Bluetooth, steering mounted audio and Bluetooth controls. The second and third rows get comfort and convenience in the form of rear air vents, adjustable head rests, an armrest for the second row, split folding seats, reclining seats, and a third row that folds flat. For safety, there are two front airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, front row seatbelt reminder, and ISOFIX anchor points for child seats. Being classified as a commercial vehicle means that the Ertiga Tour M gets a speed limiter that limits the car to 80kmph, which is why it does not get a speed warning buzzer that is mandated for all new cars sold in India.

The diesel engine is the 1.5 litre four cylinder DDiS engine that was developed in house by Maruti Suzuki. It generates 95bhp and 225Nm and is mated to a five speed manual gearbox for the Ertiga Tour M diesel. However, Maruti has gone on record to say that it will drop diesels from its lineup from April 2020, when the BS Vl norms kick in.
