The upcoming Maruti Suzuki Ignis will be another premium offering from India’s people’s car maker Maruti Suzuki. Just like the new Baleno, the Ignis will be sold via Maruti’s premium dealerships network called Nexa. If you are also one of the aspirants planning to make it own once it hit the stores, here comes the good news for you. Maruti has plans to equip the micro-SUV with Harman Kardon ICE which should add more upmarket feeling and better experience, especially when on a long drive.

Harman Kardon is an American audio and infotainment company which supplies its ICE equipments to various brands. The company is supplying its system to Tata motors also.

The Japanese version of Suzuki Ignis is already equipped with Harman’s audio system, but its Indian version would be the first car from Maruti’s stable to have such a high end ICE system. The audio system is expected to support Apple carplay which will support music playback, messaging, taking and making call via the audio system’s display. The audio player is also expected to support satellite navigation system.

The Maruti Suzuki Ignis is expected to be launched within next few months in 1.2-liter petrol and 1.3-liter diesel engine variants. The diesel version is expected to get an AMT gearbox for hassle free driving experience. The company might also provide a 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine variant.

The Ignis is the next offering from Maruti in the premium segment which will be sold via Nexa dealerships. After the lukewarm response of the Ciaz and X-Cross, Maruti Suzuki is all geared up to take the premium segment with a storm with the Ignis. Maruti Suzuki surely has high hopes on the Ignis and to make it more desireable for the customers, they are leaving no stones unturned.
