Maruti Suzuki has recalled a total of 1,279 units of new Swift and Dzire over a possible faulty airbag controller issue. These recalled cars were manufactured between 7th May and 5th July, this year. The recalled models include 566 units of new Swift and 713 units of new Dzire.

Owners of these recalled vehicles will be contacted by authorized Maruti Suzuki dealers. These models will be inspected for free of cost and replacement of the faulty airbag controller unit too will be done without any cost to the customer. Customers can check themselves whether their cars are included in this recall program or not, by visiting the company website and fill in the chassis number.
Earlier this year in May, Maruti Suzuki recalled a total of 52,686 units of cars over a faulty brake vaccum hose issue. These recalled vehicles included new Swift and the Baleno premium hatchback. The third generation Swift and Dzire comes as two of the brand’s main revenue generator.
