Maruti Suzuki has a penchant for releasing excellent small cars in the market. It is entering the micro-SUV segment with the impending launch of its smallest SUV, the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso in September 2019. The beauty of the designing is that this micro-SUV will have an upright stance in the mould of SUVs instead of the crossover designs experienced in the S-Cross and Ignis.
This model is likely to be placed below the compact SUV, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza. The Maruti Suzuki S-Presso will compete with other SUVs like Mahindra KUV100 NXT and Renault Kwid. Similar to the SUV models, the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso will have a ground clearance height of 180mm along with a commanding seating arrangement.
One can expect 'Celerio-type' cabin interiors, as witnessed in the product spec version unveiled in 2018. The Mini-Esque dashboard features a state-of-the-art infotainment system and digital speedometer.
