Maruti Suzuki sales (including export) hit a mark of 1,20,824 units for the month of November 2015, when compared to the sales registered in November 2014, where the brand sold 1,10,147 cars, the figure shows an increase of 9.7 percent. The push in the Maruti Suzuki’s sales during the month of November was not only due to best selling cars, but also due to the festive season, a period during which car sales is at its peak.
The domestic sales of the Maruti Suzuki for this period is 1,10,599 units and the export stood at 10,225 units. The figures for the month of November last year were 1,00,024 and 10,123 units respectively, thereby reporting a hike of 10.6% for domestic sales and 1.0% in export sales.
Talking about the best performing Maruti Suzuki cars for the month of November 2015, the compact cars made a top ranking- Swift, Celerio, Baleno, Dzire, Ritz are the models that posted maximum increase. The total cars sold by this segment this month were 44,626 units, as compared to 37,339 cars sold last November. (Due to the sales of the new Baleno).
The small hatchbacks from Maruti Suzuki – Alto 800, Alto K10 and Wagon R reported a sales of 35,981 units during November 2015, whereas in November 2014 the segment sold 37,746 cars, making a decline of 4.7 percent. This could be due to the change in the buyer preference. Reportedly, a survey revealed that the number of first time car buyers are choosing compact cars over the mini cars.
