Maruti Suzuki India announced that it has achieved a new milestone, where the Swift hatchback has crossed two million sales mark, since its inception in India in May 2015. It’s been 13 years and still, the Maruti Suzuki Swift is on sale like a hot cake. Indian buyers not just look for the features but also sporty styling and bold stance along with power-packed performance, which this model already have.

The third generation Maruti Suzuki Swift made its first Indian debut at the 2018 Auto Expo and also made its launch. Built on the 5th generation Heartect platform, the Swift is more strength and rigidity, which also helps to improve the power to weight ratio, better acceleration performance for a peppy drive experience. In terms of features, the car comes packed with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, flat-bottom steering wheel and much more. For the safety, the Swift hatchback is offered with dual front airbags, anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), and Isofix child seat mounts as standard fitments.

Under the bonnet, the Maruti Suzuki swift draws its power from a 1.2-litre petrol engine that makes 88 bhp with 113 Nm of torque and a 1.3-litre diesel engine that develops 74 bhp of maximum power with 190 Nm of top torque. Both petrol and diesel variants are offered with a 5-speed manual as standard; while the AMT can opt from the mid-level trims. 
 
Nonetheless, the new Swift also clocked one lakh sales bookings in less than ten weeks, which is the fastest booking milestone as well. That apart, at the same time, the company also increased the production of Swift by 45 per cent to 1.39 lakh units during April-Oct 2018-19, compared to the corresponding duration last year.
