Toyota Rush is one SUV model that has never been released in India. With the competition in the SUV market heating up, one can expect Toyota to launch the Toyota Rush in India very soon. However, Toyota Rush will have a fight on its hands from Maruti Suzuki XL6, released recently in India. The Maruti Suzuki XL6 will lock horns with Toyota Rush in the Asian markets. In a way, Maruti Suzuki XL6 has a similar exterior appearance. The Maruti Suzuki XL6 classy interiors give it a premium look, as well.

Dimensions wise, the Toyota Rush could be slightly smaller in comparison to the Maruti Suzuki XL6. However, the Toyota Rush has a better ground clearance height as compared to the Maruti Suzuki XL6. The Maruti Suzuki XL6 has a 6-seat layout whereas the Toyota Rush comes in different configurations from five to seven seats.
The Maruti Suzuki XL6 interior gives it a classy look. It features a dual-tone black-beige theme with a black dashboard and leather seat upholstery. It comes with a darker wooden trim coupled with silver accents. The silver-trimmed steering wheel enhances the overall interior appearance. The 7-inch SmartPlay touchscreen entertainment system is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Other attractive features include reverse camera, cruise control, automatic climate control, multi-info display, and 15-inches black alloy wheels.
The Toyota Rush comes with comparable features like 6.8-inches DVD-AVX head unit, a digital video recorder, four cameras to offer a panoramic view, keyless entry facilities, single-zone AC, a built-in Smart TAG, and MID, etc. From the safety angle, the Toyota Rush comes with six airbags, blind-spot mirror, pre-collision system, red-cross traffic alert, traction and vehicle stability control, hill start assist, and EBD, anti-lock brakes, and brake assist among others.
The Maruti Suzuki XL6 engine is a K15 1.5L SHVS Petrol engine capable of delivering 104.7ps of power and 138Nm torque. This engine pairs either with a 4-speed AT or 5-speed MT system. The Toyota Rush comes with a 1.5L Dual VVT-i 4-cylinder petrol engine with similar capacity as the Maruti Suzuki XL6 engine.
Toyota might launch the Toyota Rush anytime in India to cater to the growing demands of the SUV market. However, Toyota is planning a joint-venture production of a rebadged Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and a C-MPV along with Maruti Suzuki.
