Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch its upcoming MPV model, which is based Ertiga - XL6 on August 21, 2019. The XL6 6-seater is said to be retailed through company’s premium dealership network Nexa. However, the regular will be retailed via Maruti Suzuki’s Arena showroom. The car has been surfacing online several times through spy images and is expected to be offered in two variants – Alpha and Zeta.
In terms of features, the new XL6 will come packed with captained styled seats for the second row, LED headlamps with DRLs as well as LED taillamps same as seen on the regular Ertiga, the interior gets an all-black upholstery, rear wiper washer, height adjuster for driver’s seat. Moreover, both the variant would also come loaded with SmartPlay infotainment display. The top-end variant Alpha will also get some additional features such as cruise control, leather upholstery, reverse parking camera and the car will ride on the new set of black alloy wheels, whereas the cabin would welcome one with dual-tone interiors.
Mechanically, the Maruti Suzuki XL6 is likely to come packed with a BS6 compliant, 1.5-litre petrol engine with smart hybrid technology to save fuel. The engine would develop 104 bhp of maximum power with 138 Nm of top torque. As far as the transmission duties are concerned, it will be carried out with either a five-speed manual gearbox or a 4-speed automatic transmission (torque converter).
