As we have been constantly reporting you about Maruti's plans to launch the upgraded versions of Swift siblings in the country around the festive season, so this news ain't shocking really as it was on cards, sooner or later.

The folks at Gaadi Waadi have been able to capture the new Swift DZire at Maruti's Manesar production facility while it went under production. In the spied image, it is the top-end variant of this compact sedan. As the image reflects, the new Swift DZire would flaunt an all new 10-spoke alloy wheels and tinted headlamps. The twin fog lamps would be provided chrome treatment. Also, there would be a redesigned front grille with chrome accents. At the rear end, the bumper would be redesigned and wouldn't boast reflectors.

Inside the cabin, new Swift DZire is expected to have contemporary features like push button start, keyless entry and power folding wing mirrors. However, the company isn't keen on making any mechanical changes to the sedan and it is expected to carry the same 1.2-liter K-Series petrol engine and 1.3-liter Multijet diesel engine. They would be paired to the Maruti's conventional 5-speed manual gearbox. However, an optional 4-speed automatic transmission would also be on offer on petrol trim. It is expected to be priced in bracket of Rs. 4.70 - 7.30 Lakhs, while competing against the likes of Honda Amaze, Hyundai Xcent and recently launched Tata Zest.
