Maruti Suzuki has launched a new variant of its sub-four meter sedan, the Dzire, in India. Christened LDiX, the new variant is a limited edition version and is based on its base diesel variant, the LDi. The company has added a few essential features to the LDiX variant to make it a more attractive package in its segment. The new variant gets all four power windows, a 2-din stereo system with four speakers, remote central locking, vanity mirror over passenger's sun visors, body colored ORVMs (Outer Rear View Mirrors) with turn indicators and the front fog lamps.

The Maruti Dzire LDiX is priced at Rs. 6.86 lakhs (on-road, Delhi) which is undoubtedly quite competitive in its segment as its nemesis Honda Amaze ex-showroom price range starts from Rs. 6.73 lakhs in India. The Dzire has been the second largest selling car in India however, the introduction of Honda Amaze, last year, has made a major dent on Dzire total sales in the country. The rivalry in the segment will amplify further as Hyundai is launching the Xcent in same segment on 12th March in the Indian market.
