Maruti Suzuki has showcased a limited edition of Swift hatchback at the 2016 Auto Expo. Being based on the Swift ZXi variant, the showcased model is expected to launch soon in the country. Maruti Swift limited edition comes with several cosmetic updates, while mechanically it is unchanged with the same petrol engine. The company hasn't announced the pricing of Swift limited edition.
Talking about the exterior upgrades, the Swift limited edition comes in a red paint shade with contrasting white graphics on the hood, outside rear view mirrors (ORVMs), and foglamp enclosures. In addition, there is a big number "10" embodied on the passenger door in white color. The limited edition Swift rides on 15-inch alloy wheels, while it gets body colored bumper extensions, side sill extensions, and rear spoiler. Inside the cabin, the seat covers come with red inserts and a large “10” numbering. There is also red contrast stitching on the gear lever and steering cover, alongside the AVN touchscreen infotainment system and front center armrest.
Under the hood, the limited edition hatch has the 1.2L, 4-cylinder K-Series petrol engine. The engine develops 84bhp of top power and 115Nm of peak torque. It is linked to a 5-speed manual gearbox. On the other hand, the diesel variants come with the company's tried and tested 1.3L, 4-cylinder Multi-jet engine. The oil burner churns out 74bhp of maximum power and 190Nm of highet torque, mated to the same 5-speed manual transmission. Just so you know, Maruti has also taken the wraps off Ertiga limited edition and Celerio limited edition at the 2016 Auto Expo. The country's largest automaker unveiled the all-new Vitara Brezza compact SUV, Ignis micro-SUv and Baleno RS concept at the ongoing event.
