Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL), the country's largest automaker, has introduced a limited edition of its recently launched Swift facelift. The accessorized version is being christened as 'Swift Windsong Edition' as it was unveiled on the ocassion of Windsong Music Festival in Lonavala, Maharashtra. The company would offer only 100 units of this limited edition of Swift.
The Windsong Edition Swift boasts an array of cosmetic changes with foremost being a new body kit with multiple musical graphics. In addition, it also features twin vertical black stripes at the front bonnet with new stylish yellow colored alloys. The front bumper is also tweaked along with the addition of tri-color stripes on the sideways. As visible in the image, there is a gigantic headphone at the rear portion of the hatchback; but, be assured, it's not a part of the Windsong Edition. Maruti has painted the roof above the A and B Pillars in black shade to make the hatchback more attractive. The company hasn't revealed the price of this limited edition version which would only be sold with diesel fuel trim.
Mechanically, the limited edition Swift boasts a 1.3L Multi-jet diesel engine which churns out a maximum power of 74 bhp and peak torque of 190Nm. Maruti Swift Windsong Edition retains all the mechanical components of the newly launched Swift facelift. It delivers an exceptional fuel economy of 25.2kmpl, while the engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. As mentioned earlier also, the price of this edition is still unknown; However, we expect it to be around Rs. 30000-45000 more than the regular version.
