Maruti Suzuki India has introduced a limited edition of its Swift hatchback, which is being christened as 'Windsong Edition'. It is available only with VXi and VDi variants and priced at Rs. 5.14 Lakhs and Rs. 6.1 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, Delhi), respectively. The Swift Windsong Edition comes loaded with several additional features at the outside as well as inside, albeit no mechanical change is observed.

Talking about the exterior features in the Maruti Swift Windsong Edition, it flaunts exclusive 'Windsong' body graphics and decals, front and rear mud-flaps and an arctic white rear spoiler. Inside the cabin, the add-ons are special seat covers and a steering wheel cover, illuminated door sills, PVC floor mats and ambient lighting. But, the most significant addition is of a Sony touch-screen audio system with CD/DVD/Bluetooth/USB compatibility. It also acts as the screen for the reverse parking camera. As mentioned earlier, no mechanical change is reported in Maruti Swift Windsong Edition and it continues to draw power from the same set of engines as the regular Swift variants.

The Swift Windsong Edition VXi (petrol) is powered by a 1.2L K-Series engine, while Swift Windsong Edition VDi (diesel) extracts its power from a 1.3L DDiS unit. The Swift petrol as well as diesel variants are now 10% more fuel economical as last year, the company launched the new Swift with a better mileage. The petrol variants deliver an amazing fuel efficiency of 20.4kmpl, while the diesel ones return a thumping mileage of 25.2kmpl.
