Maruti Vitara Brezza is just days away from its much-anticipated world premiere at the 2016 Auto Expo, starting from February 3. But, prior to the official unveiling, the variants and features of the compact SUV have been leaked online. Just so you know, Maruti Vitara Brezza would be launched with a diesel engine only; no petrol variants on offer, at least initially. It is the first Maruti SUV to be completely designed and developed in India.
Talking about the Maruti Vitara Brezza variants, there would a total of six: LDi, LDi (O), VDi, VDi (O), ZDi and ZDi+. The standard comfort features across the entire variant lineup would be Front power windows, a parcel tray, manual AC, tilt steering, manual day/night IRVM, speed sensitive door locks, Bluetooth-enabled music system and a driver foot rest. Also, the driver airbag would be available with each and every variant as standard safety feature. Talking about the features of LDI (O) grade, it would boast all the aforementioned features of LDi variants and also a couple of new in form of front seat belt pretensioner, a passenger airbag and ABS with EBD.
Moving to mid trim VDi, it would get multiple exterior upgrades to look premium. It would feature blacked out floating A,B and C pillars, front-rear black skid plates, black roof rails, full wheel cover and body-coloured door handles, which would distinguish it from the entry-level LDi variant. Inside the cabin, Maruti Vitara Brezza VDi would come loaded with several exquisite features such as keyless entry, a gear shift indicator, rear power windows, driver-side seat back hook with load capacity up to 3kg, seat back pockets, passenger vanity mirror, rear seat headrests, fabric insert on door, electromagnetic tail gate and security alarm and fabric roof lining.
Coming to the VDi (O) derivative, it is basically the VDi trim, albeit with a safety package that includes passenger airbag and ABS with EBD. Last but not the least, the ZDi grade gets almost all the bells and whistles at the outside as well as inside. It flaunts projector headlamps with LED DRLs, fog lamps and chrome grille at the front. It also comes with gunmetal grey roof rails and front and rear silver skid plates. The interior cabin is blessed with an array of premium features like automatic A/C, driver-side seat height adjuster, steering wheel with audio controls, rear window washer and wiper, mood light in speedometer, sun glass holder in over head console, chrome inside door handle, higher grade fabric seats, vanity mirror lamp etc. to name a few. On the safety front, dual front airbags and ABS with EBD are available as standard.
The flagship or the range-topping variant of Maruti Vitara Brezza line up is ZDi+ which gets dual tone paint option. It, besides all the equipments of ZDi, features auto headlamps, rain sensing auto wipers, electric folding ORVMs, turn indicators on ORVMs, keyless entry and push button start, reverse parking camera, Smartplay infotainement with Apple CarPlay, inbuilt navigation with Mapcare, cooled upper glovebox, cruise control with a switch on the steering wheel, sliding front armrest with storage and front seat belt height adjuster. Mechanically, the compact SUV would be powered by the Fiat-sourced 1.3L Multi-jet diesel engine.
