Maserati, the Italian luxury automaker, has announced its return to India by launching not one or but three sportscars. The company would sell Ghibli, Quattroporte and GranTurismo in the country via three newly inauguarted dealerships. The fiat-owned luxury carmaker also stated that it is working on a global SUV model, which would also be launched in India in 2016.
Mr Bojan Jankulovski, Head of Operations for India said, "Driving a Maserati is like wearing a tailor-made suit in a world of uniforms. Our re-entry into the Indian market is a commitment to our customers as there is a definitive demand for exclusive luxury products, including cars, in the market. By entering India, and other new markets around the world, we are able to grow by expansion." The three company dealers in India would be AMP Supercars Pvt, Ltd. in Delhi, Bagga Luxury Motocars LLP in Mumbai and Jubilation Autoworks in Bangalore. Alongside the sales, these facilities would have dedicated Maserati service facilities. Staff at dealerships and service centers will be trained by the company's authorised trainers.
