Soon after the Mayank Pareek quit as the Head, Domestic Marketing and Sales for Maruti Suzuki India, speculations were high about him being approached by Tata to join them. Well the speculations just became true and Tata Motors, today announced Mayank Pareek as their president, Passenger Vehicle Business Unit.
Mayank Pareek will be taking over the duties from Mr. Ranjit Yadav and will start working from 1st October 2014. Mr. Yadav will now move towards heading the International business for the Passenger and Commercial Vehicle, Tata Motors.
In a statement released over the appointment of Mr. Pareek, the company said "His extensive experience in the passenger car market will play a significant role in harnessing Tata Motors growth potential to help position the company as one of the leading passenger car manufacturers in India".
Mr. Pareek has a career spanning more than 30 years, out of which he dedicated 20 years with Maruti in various divisions. He is a post graduate diploma in Business Management from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore and a Bachelor of Engineering Degree from Indian Institute of Technology, BHU.
