McLaren 570S Coupe has been unleashed a day ahead of its global debut at the 2015 New York International Auto Show on April 1. The Coupé is the first bodystyle to be shown in the Sports Series, highlighting the latest evolution of the McLaren design philosophy. The 570S coupe can do a 0-100kmph in mere 3.2 seconds, while it takes just 9.5 seconds to get to 200kmph mark from standstill due to class leading power-to-weight ratio of 434PS per tonne.
At the front fascia, there are aero blades below the front bumper in the McLaren 570S Coupe. Also, large ultra bright LED headlamps are fitted as standard to all Sports Series models. The rear of the car flaunts LED light blade rear lamps, while the twin exhausts exit below the rear bumper, either side of a newly designed rear diffuser. The 570S Coupe rides on a newly designed range of forged alloy wheel options with P Zero™ Corsa tyres as standard from McLaren technical partner, Pirelli – 225/35/R19 on the front and 285/35/R20 on the rear. It has carbon ceramic brakes for danger-free instant braking at high speeds. Further details of the McLaren 570S will be confirmed following the global reveal, which will take place on Wednesday 1 April, 2015 at the New York International Auto Show.
Inside the cabin, leather upholstered sports seats are fitted as standard, while racing seats are on offer as optional. The dashboard and steering wheel are also all leather trimmed and around 150 litres of luggaage can be stored in the front luggage bay. Furthermore, the 570S boasts a full infotainment system including an all new TFT digital instrument cluster that changes configuration according to driving mode, a seven-inch IRIS touchscreen, now with integrated climate control functionality, Bluetooth connectivity and DAB digital/SIRIUS satellite radio (depending on market), mounted on a ‘floating’ centre console. There is a McLaren Audio four-speaker system as standard music system.
McLaren has provided the buyers with the convenience of interior customisation with the 570S Coupe as one can choose between Alcantara, nappa leather and carbon fibre options for the interiors. Additionally, a McLaren Audio Plus 8-Speaker Upgrade System and bespoke Bowers & Wilkins 12-Speaker Premium Audio System with 1280W surround sound upgrade is also available for the ultimate audio experience. Under the hood, it has a 3.8L V8 twin turbo engine which pumps out 562 bhp of top power and 600Nm of highest torque. It is linked to a seven-speed SSG transmission, which transmits the power to the rear wheels of the coupe. It has a top speed of 328kmph. Apparently, the 570S manages to deliver a decent fuel efficiency of 9.03kmpl despite being this much powerful.
