Hollywood movies have a knack of showing the cars from the future as something totally out of the world. They are either flying or are equipped with features which we can only imagine at this stage. But the reality is far from the concepts. Many known designers and manufacturers have visualized the cars from the future and they are not that hunky dory.
While Ferrari itself revealed the vision of their own F1 car from the future, an independent artist by the name Nathan Dearsley has visualized the McLaren F1 car from the year 2056. Yes, that's too far from now, but he had the audacity to think beyond what many don't dare to think. To be clear, the design is not official or sanctioned by anyone or any company and is totally the imagination of Nathan.
The retro-liveried work of art looks insanely fast, thanks to a V12 engine and will be a four-wheel drive race car. Nathan Dearsley, in an interview with the TopGear UK said that he is a huge Ayrton Senna Fan and that inspired him to use the famous color of the legendary MP4/4 car that Senna used to drive. And the car looks excellent to say the least.
Nathan is also a fan of the race cars from the sixties and his MP6/P is inspired by the design where "everything was out in the open, and you could almost see and learn how the soul of a car was put together." He has imagined his 2056 future car with a four-wheel drive system, with all the four wheels being powered by electric motors.
But a more powerful V12 engine will be acting on the rear wheels alone. Nathan says that his idea is to make cars faster, "but more unstable to create a level playing field for non-works vehicles... and just be damn good fun to watch." Nathan is a gamer himself who has designed many video games in the past, which influenced his F1 car design.
Watching Nathan's car and Ferrari's vision of the cars from the popular sports, we can surely say that the sun of the this sport is at the peak, and we will see many exciting F1 championships in the years to come.
